The day has finally come!

Cosette Marie Baron has finally made her entrance!

She was born on Friday November 5 at 2:35 in the morning. She weighed 6 pounds 12 ounces and was 18 inches long. We are so happy that she is here!

Eamon's room is finally complete!

I wanted to do a beach themed room ever since Eamon was born, but since we moved to Florida and didn't know are plans, I thought I would have to put it on hold.

I found too many cute things to wait and everything in his room was found on sale or handmade, so I couldn't pass it up. I just love what a bargain can do for you.

We have been busy!

It has been a while, and I know my weekly updates are now turning into monthly. But I will at least blog about more than one thing, which will make up for some of the slack of not writing so often. It has been a busy time, but also a time of monthly celebrations.

We first celebrated Brandons 26th birthday. We saw Robin Hood, ate at the delicious Cheese Cake Factory and had a staycation at a hotel nearby. I then surprised Brandon the next week and had his mom fly out to Orlando for memorial day weekend.

Following that we celebrated the Lakers Victory!

The last celebration has been the most busy for me. Our baby girl is growing quite nicely and is expected to arrive November 7!

Starting at an early age

For those of you who may not know, I am an extreme book worm. Give me a great book to read I will have it finished the next day. I have a tendency to forget what is going on around me and just dive right into the book. Brandon sees a book in my hand, he knows not to talk to me. (Sorry dear.)

I was so happy to see that little Jai is taking after his mothers footsteps. He loves reading all books, but especially chapter books upside down. Here are a few photos I couldn't pass up on.

I'm loving it!

We went to Daytona Beach the other day and it was perfect. We had warm weather, warm water and a son who fits right in. Did I mention Eamon loves the sand, loves it. So here are a few pictures from that beautiful day with a delicious fish sandwich dinner afterwards. (The fish didn't taste like fish one bit). Eamon was sure in heaven!

Where have we been lately?

I thought I was going to highlight our lives once a week, but that obviously hasn't happened.

But as of late we have had quite an adventure. We went to visit the land of the Hmongs otherwise known as St. Paul, MN.

Brandon has been talking about going back to his mission ever since he got off and we finally got the chance to go. What an experience.

For those of you who don't know what Hmong is, or who Hmong are they are an indegenious people that live in the mountains of Loas and Thailand. They helped the CIA during the Vietnam War and now there is a huge Hmong population in Minnesota.

We were able to visit some amazing families that Brandon served with. When we stepped into their home, I thought I had stepped into another country.

It was a trip well worth it.

Festivities

Eamon enjoyed his first Easter egg hunt. I showed him how to do it and after picking up one egg he was done. He opened one egg and it was over, candy was crammed into his mouth one by one. After he had about 10 jelly beans I said no more. He began walking around to all the other kids baskets and took candy out. What a sneaky little fella. He loved all the Easter candy.

Almost back

It's been a while, but not much has been going on. My little sweetie pie has been sick the past week.

Ode to Kaia

I have been meaning to blog about this for a while and when I say a while, I mean since Christmas morning.

Brandon and I received the best Christmas gifts this year. We couldn't have asked for anything better, and my sweet neice knew exactly what we wanted.

We were so excited to open her presents that we were overjoyed and over ecstatic at what we held in our precious hands.

First, I was given the greatest gift of Butt paste, yes that is correct. When she saw it she thought of me and knew that I would know what to do with it. It wasn't for Eamon mind you, but me.

The next best gift was for Brandon to open. To his surprise it was a very personal gift that only he has received. As he unwrapped his present he found a a little cotton ball. Not just any cotton ball, but Kaia's dried blood cotton ball.

When Kaia had gotten hurt and she dabbed her blood on the swab, the first thing she said was "I am going to give this to Brandon." I am so glad to know that Kaia esteems Brandon so much that she is willing to give him her blood.

We just love her!

What was I thinking?

So much for blogging highlights once a week. I think only a week has gone by and then I see that my last post was a long time ago.

As for the title of my blog, Brandon and Eamon had their first fathers and sons campout. Brandon was so excited to take him, and I couldn't have been happier. My night of sleep felt so good.

After they got back, Eamon was dirty from head to toe and I thought, why not give him a little trim since his hair can be pulled up in a pony tail. Well, I told Brandon to get the clippers and thinking that clippers gave trims, he started clipping. It was too late, our son's beautiful head of hair had been sliced down to a mere 3/4's inch. I was devastated, I cried, I got upset and last but not least I said we needed to stop. I couldn't muster up the strength to cut his goldy lock curls off. So our son is now sporting a mullet. It's not so bad, and I am getting used to it, but at least his curls are still intact.

Take a look around

Last Monday, Brandon had the day off, so we decided to explore Florida. The sun was shining and the wind was blowing as we headed off to Flager Beach to spend a day of bike sight seeing. We rode through the cute beach town and then off to the tallest lighthouse in all of Florida, the Ponce Inlet Lighthouse. We climbed all 203 steps to the breathtaking view up top.

Following our exercise, we needed some good Florida seaside grub to fill us up. We went to this fun, scenic and local restaurant called Boondocks. The only vegetarian item on the menu was alfredo pasta, I wasn't feeling that so I ventured out and ate fish (a once in a lifetime miracle). I had a Basa blackened, garlic-seared sandwich. It was so delicious, and the greatest thing about it all was it didn't taste like fish. Not one bit, or I wouldn't have eaten it.

Yea for the day off!

I simply remember my favorite things!

Eamon has been so funny this week. He found a new love. MARKERS! As soon as he sees them they are in his hands and never letting go. He showers with them, gets dressed with them, sleeps with them, takes them shopping, in the stroller and all around the house.

Just yesterday, I was feeding him breakfast when he kept on bending down reaching and I thought he wanted to get out, I took him out and sure enough there was a marker right under the table.

It is so funny I don't know what it is, but all I know is they are his buddies.

My recent addictions!

So I have been going crazy doing lots of different crafts, or should I say thinking of wanting to do lots of different crafts.

My amazing sister, made me some beautiful crocheted headbands last year, and I decided I wanted to make them. I then thought well now that I can make them why not try a beanie, if I try a beanie why not try a scarf, if I try a scarf why not try a sweater, if a try a sweater why not try some valentine heart coasters. Anways, you probably get the idea by now.

So for those of you wanting to create some amazing decorations for your face or house, look no more because these websites are so fun to look at.

I can't believe how fast the time has flown by as Thanksgiving, Christmas and the new year came and went. I have looked back at my not so very good blogging skills and decided that my new blog will consist of a highlight of the week. I am way behind to blog about things of the past so I will start fresh.

We had a wonderful Christmas with all of my family and enjoyed good food, laughter and fun. One thing in particular that we did was get family pictures with the whole clan. I think the pictures turned out great.
