Navajo Falls Jump

Here is the jump off Navajo Falls.

This is Mooney Falls, the biggest of them all! 200 feet down. And the only way to get to the bottom is climbing down the rock face all the way down with only a few chains to help you. It's a cool climb down though. This waterfall is awesome because its so powerful. You can swim right up to the water as its coming down and the spray is so powerful it pushes you back. You can also climb up along the side and there is a great rock to jump off maybe 35 feet up or so. At the end of the pool is a rope swing that drops you off at the bottom of a little waterfall. There is so much to do here. I could have spent hours at each pool. At the Havasu falls there is a jump you can do where you get behind the main chute and jump off a rock right into the water as its coming down. It throws you down into the water and you get spit out into the pool. Next June. Let's Go!

HAVASUPAI

This is Navajo Falls. This one is my favorite of the three waterfalls because it has the best rock to jump off. The waterfall cascades down over a pretty wide area and gives it just an awesome look. You can climb up along the side of the falls, walk through the main shoot holding onto a rope someone tied to a tree, then jump off of a little outcropping into the pool below. There is also a little cave on the side with a really cool pool below it and a hole in the rock about the size of a softball where water comes pouring out. This is why I want to go back every year now.

HAVASUPAI

This place is seriously the greatest place on earth! I just got back from a Young Men's trip down to Havasupai, which is an Indian reservation in the Grand Canyon. It's a 10 mile hike and that is the only way to get there, except by helicopter. Once you get there there are 3 of the most beautiful waterfalls you can ever imagine. This first one is Havasu falls. It's 100 feet and the water is just absolutely incredible. So much fun. You camp right along the banks of the river and just swim all day in the pools and swing on the rope swings and find all kinds of cool places to jump off. I love this place. This is my second time going and I loved it even more this time. So, I made up my mind that I am going again next June. So whoever wants to go is more than welcome. Look At That Water!!

Brandon and I had the wonderful opportunity to be youth conference parents for trek. Many people were very worried about me because of my pregnant condition. I thought I would be fine and everything would be great. boy was I wrong. The weather was about 106F and after walking about four and half miles I began to feel the heat take its toll.

We were blessed to have wonderful children in our group who were very cooperative, at about 7:38 pm, Friday night we told them that both of their parents had died. How sad is that? The doctor and nurse who were on the trek took great care of me, and sent me home because it wasn't worth it for me to keep on trekking. Such a bummer!! It makes me so much more grateful for the pioneers especially the pregnant women. I do not know how they did it, but Heavenly Father blessed them with the strength to carry on.

I was very sad to leave, but it was definitely the right thing to do. I wouldn't want to put our son in any danger. Brandon was such a good husband and he came with me to take care of me. He was so supportive and just wanted the best for me. He was so cute in all of his pioneer attire.

I thank the Pioneers for all of the sacrifices that were made in my behalf.

I Love My Family

This past week my mother and sister came in to town to spend some time with Brandon and I. It was so wonderful to see them. We went shopping, to the beach, and we even saw High School Musical on Broadway. It was so fun to be with them. They cleaned my entire apartment while I was at work. What angels!!!

My mom brought me about 25 boy clothes, it was so exciting. I can't wait to change his clothes 3 times a day just so he can wear all of the cute outfits.
