Why did Eamon cross the road?

BECAUSE HE WAS WALKING!

Today, was such a fun day. As I glanced outside I noticed Brandon sitting in the middle of the golf course with sweet little Eamon, teaching him how to walk. He has been cruising in his walker and pushing his walker for quite sometime now, but it wasn't until today that he actually began walking all around.

He waddles like a little penguin and has to hold his stomach for balance, but it is quite the sight. Move out of the way, here comes trouble!

Welcome to the 80's

The other month I realized I was running out of contacts and needed to find the best deal for an eye exam to renew my contact prescription.

The best deal I found in the Sentinel Times was for a free eye exam, free pair of glasses and two boxes of contacts.

I thought wow this is a fantastic deal. Not only will I get contacts, I will also get a fancy pair of eye glasses. I was so thrilled, I headed down to the store and waited for quite some time to get my exam. It was run by Vietnamese, so I knew there were going to be some cunning situations coming my way.

I first off, had the choice of selecting from two rows of the same exact glasses, except for the fact that the frames were different colors, but don't worry I could get an upgrade for fifty dollars more and get any frame I wanted in the store. (That would defeat the whole purpose of getting a good deal so I said no thank you.) I then proceeded to try on my new lovely glasses and to my astonishment I thought hey, these aren't that bad. Until all of the vietnamese ladies began saying those glasses are too big for your head. Your head so small, glasses so big. (please say these in an accent, it helps bring it to life. Then for fifteen dollar more, I could get UV Ray lenses.

To make it even more of a story, I couldn't pick up my lovely selection for two weeks. In my neices words, she said "Those are big. Those aren't fancy; they're big. Let's say to Sienna, 'Crazy glasses. Those are too big. Return them to the store.' Kaia Leigh Christensen doesn't like those big glasses on Sienna Christensen."

Anyways, long story short, presenting my new glasses.

Here a quack, there a quack.

Saturday turned out to be a beautiful day. We thought about going to the beach in our 80 degree weather, by the time I got home from my fun craft day, we thought why not drive around to the many lakes here and feed the ducks.

This was our first experience taking Eamon and it was so fun. He was so cute, as we would hand him the bread and he would hurry and eat it, instead of throw it in for the ducks.

I also couldn't pass up mentioning that Brandon will be starting his job with Charles Schwab on Nov. 30, I am so happy for him and his hard work. Yea for Jobs!

What a BOO-tiful Week.

This week was the celebration of Eamon turning one. The week was filled with lots of fun. We first started off on Monday, his birthday, at the Animal Kingdom. We spent time at Dino-land where we rode on dinosaurs, saw the Finding Nemo show, and then we were off to the petting zoo to see some animals.

Then on Friday, we had a little Halloween Birthday Bash and invited children and moms from the ward. It was so fun seeing all of the kids dressed up and making cute halloween treats. Eamon loved having friends over, even if he didn't know what was going on. I am excited that there are so many fun moms and children in the ward to get to know.

The weather was a scorching 90 degrees on Saturday so Brandon and I couldn't pass that up. We packed our little car up with his surf board and headed to the beach to soak up the sun. (Eamon soaked up the sand). It was a fun little outing and so fun to see how happy Eamon was rolling in the sand and in the water.

Wekiva Weekend!

Last week the weather was spectacular and we decided to soak it up and go to the state park close to our house, called Wekiva.

Wekiva has fun hiking and biking trails that you can enjoy, but we decided to go on the awesome yet scary alligator infested river and rent canoes.

I was pretty freaked out as most can imagine, I think I even told Brandon one time that we needed to make a will just in case the gators were out to get me. I kept thinking of Peter Pan and Captain Hook, the tick tock repeating in my head often.

Well to make the story short, alligators we did see. I think I ducked in the canoe for the most part. But I can say, I did see their beady little eyes staring at me, thinking I might be quite a delicious meal.

Not only did we see gators, but turtles, fish and sea otters. It was quite the adventure and just might be up for it again.

Happy Birthday to Eamon!

I can't believe that a year has already gone by since Eamon Jai joined us in this world. He is one of a kind and we love him so.

I still need to download the pictures from today, but wanted to post a picture when he first made his entry into this scary, beautiful, crazy, exciting, fast paced world!
