What a crafty person I am!!

I was so very excited to be invited to a craft night the other day. I was looking forward to trying something new since I never do anything crafty (I would love to if I wasn't working four jobs or going to school full-time.) My friend was showing us how to mod podge and I was so excited for the beautiful creation. For some reason though my picture frame didn't look like anyone elses. I definitely need more work, but it was fun to add a beautiful decor to my home.

I found my favorite new store. IKEA, pretty much anyone who is reading this is probably thinking duh Sienna, where have you been? Well I took a trip there the other day and I am very proud to say, I spent $7.50 total. I bought two cute pink frames for 99cents, 5 magazine holders and these super cute heartshaped ice cube makers. I really just found my new calling in life. Shopping at Ikea and making my house super cute. Take a look at the picture to see the cute pink vase.

.

Bytheway, Michaels flowers are 50% off. I found the cute gerber daisy for a dollar. I must admit that I am a great bargain shopper.

What beautiful Drapes!!!

I finally feel like I have something newsworthy to post. The past months have been extremely busy with school and work and I didn't have anything exciting to post. But this definitely is newsworthy and exciting for all the world to see.

I was so excited to buy some fabric and make drapes. I thought that it would take me a weekend and I would have them up in no time. Well after four months of the fabric sitting at my in-laws I decided that the time has to come to put my sewing skills to work. For those of you who know about my sewing skills, I remember sewing a pillow together in the seventh grade. Other then that, I don't think I have ever used one. My mother-in-law was very kind to not only lend her sewing maching and surger, but her skills as well. I realized after this project that I hate to sew. The great news about that is, I have an amazing mother and mother-in-law that know how to sew, so really I don't even need to bother.

Look at how lovely they are!!

We Wish we could have taken them all Home!!

These children are so sweet. If we had the chance to put them all in our car to take home we would have. We were able to spend a couple of hours at an orphanage near our home. We felt very blessed to spend a couple hours with these amazing sweet spirits. It just broke our hearts to leave. Knowing that these children have no parents or family and maybe the only love and hug that they received that day was from us. As we looked into the childrens eyes, we could just feel how sad and lonely they were. We felt very blessed for those couple of hours to wrap our arms around them and give them the love they truly deserve.

Man Made Bridge

As I mentioned in an earlier post, we had the opportunity to visit a farmers home. As he was giving us a tour of all his wonderful fruits he would pick up this long plank and throw it to the other side so we could walk all around his farm. Only in some guys backyard in Thailand would this happen.

One Night in Bangkok

My dad knows all the secret places in Thailand. One night we rented a long tail motor boat to drive us around the Chao Praya River. We were literally inches from the gross, fish-eating water and I was scared for my life as our driver was going around 50mph. My dad wanted us to experience the real Thailand and that is just what we got. We stopped over at a fruit farmers house who lives along the river. He showed us around his beautiful farm and invited us into his house.

Only in Thailand!

We were able to go to an alligator farm. The largest alligator farm in the world to be exact. We were able to watch an alligator show, where the workers would stick their heads inside the mouths of these large, scary and disgusting reptiles. I was even brave enough to get a picture next to one.

What an Amazing Vacation!!!

Brandon and I just returned home from a two an half week paradise vacation. We definitely had the life of luxury in Thailand. With our massages everyday and Sienna's manicures and pedicures we couldn't ask for more. We had such a great time bowling, seeing movies, eating great Thai food and just spending time with my family. We are already missing it and can't wait to go next year!!!
