Lovely New Apartment

Brandon and I decided to redecorate our front room. We kept most of our decorations, but we wanted to have more space for when the baby comes. We spent all day last Saturday getting it together. We figured once Brandon starts school it might be a little crazy to start a redecorating party!!!

I think that it turned out great.

Beautiful Bass Lake

Brandon and I have had some great vacations this year and to conclude with our summer fun we went to Bass Lake with his side of the family.

Brandon spent the days boating, wake boarding, water skiing and jet skiing. I spent the days reading by the pool. ( I did go on the jet skis once, and cute baby boy thought that was very exciting.)

We were surrounded by a beautiful lake and trees and it couldn't have been more perfect to conclude our summer. Even though, my summer is not done yet. I get to go to Utah this week, which I am so ecstatic for, and then off to Palm Springs for an anniversary, birthday and school starting weekend.

I just love vacations. It is the only cure we have found so far for my pregnancy sickness. What a great cure!!!

Daytona Beach

Brandon and I go to the beaches in Southern California quite often, but we have never had the experience that we had while in Daytona. We were able to drive right up to the beach and park on the sand, good thing we did because we were stuck in the sand for about two hours. The tide kept on coming and our tire just kept on sinking. What a great experience.

Asher was so lucky to get a kiss from Snow White!!!

Florida Fun!!!

Brandon and I were so lucky to fly to Florida the past couple of weeks and spend time with my family.

We had such a fun time, with going to all four disney parks, spending time at the beach and eating really great food.

Some of the highlights of the trip included me riding a wheelchair, getting to see Princess Snow White (Amy) all done up and beautiful, but the best story that topped the trip off was from my sweet neice Kaia.

Brandon was sitting next to her by a railing when she turned to him and said "I need to pee" Brandon being the funny person he is says lets go find a bush. As Brandon turned his head away for a second and then back Kaia had already taken off her underpants. She then grabbed the railing and swinging back and forth from it began peeing. We were all laughing hysterically that we didn't know what to do. Maile being the mother, covered her face up with the disney brochure. I don't think that anyone saw, but kaia definitely livened the end of the day up.

Navajo Falls Jump

Here is the jump off Navajo Falls.

This is Mooney Falls, the biggest of them all! 200 feet down. And the only way to get to the bottom is climbing down the rock face all the way down with only a few chains to help you. It's a cool climb down though. This waterfall is awesome because its so powerful. You can swim right up to the water as its coming down and the spray is so powerful it pushes you back. You can also climb up along the side and there is a great rock to jump off maybe 35 feet up or so. At the end of the pool is a rope swing that drops you off at the bottom of a little waterfall. There is so much to do here. I could have spent hours at each pool. At the Havasu falls there is a jump you can do where you get behind the main chute and jump off a rock right into the water as its coming down. It throws you down into the water and you get spit out into the pool. Next June. Let's Go!

HAVASUPAI

This is Navajo Falls. This one is my favorite of the three waterfalls because it has the best rock to jump off. The waterfall cascades down over a pretty wide area and gives it just an awesome look. You can climb up along the side of the falls, walk through the main shoot holding onto a rope someone tied to a tree, then jump off of a little outcropping into the pool below. There is also a little cave on the side with a really cool pool below it and a hole in the rock about the size of a softball where water comes pouring out. This is why I want to go back every year now.
