Yes on Prop 8!

Hey Everyone,
I just wanted to write a quick post to remind all of you California residents to talk to anyone and everyone you can about supporting Proposition 8. We all have so many resources that we can use to help this cause and it is one that will affect all of us. It's not about discrimination or not being tolerant. It's about protecting marriage in the sacred way it was designed and protecting our freedom to practice our religion freely and without fear of punishment from the law. If proposition 8 fails, churches who refuse to marry same-sex couples can be sued for discrimination. That is infringing upon our freedom of religion as American citizens. It's not that we want to turn these couples away or that we believe we should not love them, it is that we believe marriage is and was designed by a loving Heavenly Father to be between a man and a woman. There are many other aspects to Prop 8 that will affect us all. We are gaining a lot of momentum with the support of Prop 8 and we can gain even more if we all reach out and talk to as many people as we can. I think it is also important that we remember 6 years ago we won this battle. 61% of Californians voted to protect traditional marriage. We can join together and let our collective voice be heard if we all lengthen our stride a little bit. We encourage everyone who reads our blog to make sure and vote yes on Prop 8 and help others become educated as well. Home teaching is a great time to make sure less-actives know what is going on with Prop 8 as well. Here is a website that has some great videos and links that would be great to share with all. www.preservingmarriage.org. Another great site is www.protectmarriage.com.

It is nice to see that you two are happy and in love.

So then why deprive others of this opportunity?

Be kind, be fair. Don't limit another's ability to make personal, loving decisions.

I hope you reconsider your stance and give equality a chance. Everyone deserves an opportunity to love.
